Winter's No Reason to Get Lazy!

The trendiest on-snow activity of the season, snowshoeing is as simple as walking, and the equipment is light, maintenance free, and durable.  Something the whole family can enjoy, this low-impact, aerobic sport is the cool way to take a walk.  As reported by Walking Magazine (January/February 1999): "New research at the University of Vermont's Human Performance Laboratory shows that a moderate walk on snowshoes burns more calories and boosts fitness more than running on a treadmill for the same length of time."
